Lume Live ("we", "us", "our") provides online career counselling, student and parent guidance, mental health support conversations, and self-assessment based reports. This Privacy Policy applies to our website, forms, assessments, sessions and related communication channels. By using our services or submitting a form, you consent to the practices described here.
1. Data We Collect
- Identity & contact details: name, age or class/stage, phone/WhatsApp number, email, city/state.
- Assessment data: your responses to psychometric and reflection questionnaires, and the reports generated from them.
- Sensitive personal data: information you choose to share about emotional wellbeing, stress, mental health concerns, and career preferences. This is treated with heightened care.
- Payment data: processed by our payment partners (e.g. Cashfree/UPI). We do not store full card or bank credentials.
- Technical data: basic device/browser information and, where enabled, locally stored progress so you don't lose your place in an assessment.
2. Children's and Minors' Data (Under 18)
Several of our services are used by school students. In line with the DPDP Act, where a user is below 18 years of age we require verifiable parental or lawful guardian consent before collecting or processing their personal data. Our intake forms include a mandatory consent checkbox confirming parental consent for users under 18. We do not knowingly undertake tracking, behavioural monitoring, or targeted advertising directed at children, and we do not process a child's data in any way likely to cause harm to their wellbeing.
3. How We Use Your Data
- To deliver the counselling, guidance, session or report you requested.
- To generate, personalise and explain your assessment reports.
- To coordinate bookings, payments and follow-up via WhatsApp, phone, email or website forms.
- To improve the safety, quality and reliability of our services.
- To meet legal, accounting and regulatory obligations.
We process your data only for these stated, lawful purposes, and only for as long as necessary to fulfil them.
4. Consent and Its Withdrawal
We rely on your consent (and, for minors, parental consent) as a primary basis for processing. You may withdraw consent at any time by contacting us at hello@lumelive.co.in. Withdrawal will not affect processing already carried out, and may mean we can no longer provide certain services.
5. Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with: service providers who help us operate (such as payment gateways and secure hosting/authentication providers) under appropriate confidentiality obligations; or where required by law, regulation or a valid legal request. Assessment reports are shared with you (and, for minors, your parent/guardian).
6. Data Security
We apply reasonable technical and organisational safeguards to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss or misuse. Website traffic is served over HTTPS. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and to notify affected users and authorities of a significant data breach as required by law.
7. Your Rights
- Access & correction: request a summary of, or correction to, your personal data.
- Erasure: request deletion of your data where it is no longer needed for the stated purpose.
- Grievance redressal: raise a complaint about how your data is handled.
- Nomination: nominate another individual to exercise your rights in the event of incapacity or death, as provided under the DPDP Act.
To exercise any right, email hello@lumelive.co.in with your request.
8. Data Retention
We keep personal data only for as long as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce agreements. Locally stored assessment progress lives in your own browser and can be cleared by you at any time.
9. Grievance Officer
For any privacy question, consent withdrawal or complaint, please contact our grievance point of contact: Email: hello@lumelive.co.in · Phone/WhatsApp: +91 7015671280. We aim to acknowledge and address requests within a reasonable timeframe.
10. Changes to This Policy
